DALLAS ADDED TO SPORTS VUE’S SOCCER NEWS NETWORK

ATLANTIC,VA----Dallas is the latest addition to Sports Vue Interactive’s growing regional soccer news network, with the launch of DallasSoccerNews.com.

The new site will provide in-depth coverage of soccer in the Dallas area, spotlighting FC Dallas, Southern Methodist University, University of North Texas and Texas Christian University as well as other area colleges, including Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and University of Texas. In addition, local high school, youth and amateur soccer, as well as the annual Dallas Cup, will be featured in the site’s coverage.

Edited by long-time local soccer writer and photographer Phil Stephens, DallasSoccerNews.com also will feature news stories, features, updates and human-interest stories about local teams and players. The site will also feature national coverage of the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams and Major League Soccer.

Stephens has been a fixture in the Dallas soccer media dating back to the North American Soccer League, when he covered the Dallas Tornado. His print and photo coverage has included five world cups, Olympic soccer, two U-17 world championships, and two CONCACAF women’s world cup qualifying tournaments. He has covered five NCAA national championships and, as a photographer, covered the game in 13 countries and more than 30 states. He has been official photographer for four Dallas professional soccer teams. He has covered the Dallas Cup nationally and internationally since its inception, both in photo and print.

“Dallas has a long soccer tradition, not only at the professional level, but the youth and amateur level as well,” said Sports Vue CEO Charles Cuttone. “With the beautiful Pizza Hut Park hosting MLS Cup this month, we felt this was an excellent time to launch in this market.”

In 2004, Sports Vue launched BigAppleSoccer.com, its first regional soccer web site, targeting the New York market. Edited by well-known journalist Michael Lewis, the site already has become a fan favorite in New York, and won the 2005 Press Club of Long Island award for best news website. That was followed by ChicagoLandSoccerNews.com, serving Windy City soccer fans, and NewEngland SoccerNews.com, serving the Boston market. Earlier this year, the company launched PhillySoccerNews.com, and LASoccerNews.com.

In addition to the regional sites, Sports Vue Interactive, a marketing communications company, also produces sites for entities and personalities from across the pro sports spectrum, including members of the U.S. Women’s and Men’s National Soccer Teams, National Football League players and professional sports leagues.
